Successful Field Trip to Nation’s Capitol Thirty boys, twelve staff and one parent experienced education in action, as they toured various historical, cultural and scientific sites in Washington, D.C. Highlights of the trip included the beautifully-lit Lincoln Monument, the Smithsonian Institution and Capitol Hill. Principal Claudia Gulfan commented: “It was a great trip! Everything went smoothly. The boys learned a lot, and people were impressed with how well our students behaved.” Student Choir Début “It was a great joy,” commented one appreciative parent on the performance of the twenty-member Advent Home Student Choir at May’s Family Forum. Fresh Produce Coming Soon! How does our garden grow? Very well, reports Advent Home Work Supervisor Richard Minick. With planting completed, the boys have been watering, weeding, and tilling. Students and staff will soon be eating tasty fresh squash, watermelons, cantaloupes, potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes, green beans, and corn. Mmm-mmm!!
