Do You Know a Boy Like This?
Page 2

At four, Aaron* should have been a happy child. Instead, he suffered from depression, due to his parents’ divorce. Aaron grew up angry at his absent father.

From grades 1-9, he attended seven different schools, often getting dismissed for fighting and bullying. He was totally unmotivated and his grades suffered, even though he could do the work.  Family life became increasingly stressful.  By fourteen, Aaron was having daily conflicts with his step dad.  He took out his frustrations by yelling at his mom and bullying his younger siblings.  He spent hours locked in his room, listening to heavy metal music. Although not diagnosed with ADHD and ODD, Aaron exhibited all the symptoms.  His family doctor suggested that Advent Home would be helpful for Aaron.
