Work develops spirituality.  Working outdoors puts students in contact with God, our Creator, who nourishes and sustains life. Being productively employed also means there is less time or energy to get caught up in negative behaviors, such as drinking, smoking, computer addiction or sexual experimentation.
Over the years we have seen countless examples of how important work is as a means of therapy.  We are constantly planning new ways to reach our students through our work education program.  Automotive skills and harvesting hay are two areas we plan to develop next.  We believe that these changes will make a significant impact in the lives of our students, both now and after they graduate from Advent Home.
