One Building at a Time... PDF Print E-mail

Visitors to Advent Home often remark that, over the years, we have made so much progress. a beautiful campus, well-kept buildings, attractive staff housing, and a successful program.  How do we manage it?  The answer is--with God's help--we construct “One building at a time!"

Eight years ago students were being schooled in a small trailer.  One generous friend of Advent Home was impressed to make a substantial donation to construct a quality school and office building.  The Barbara Cox Learning Center and Extension has been a wonderful blessing ever since.
Our second dormitory was completed because of a special gift from members of the Adventist-Laymen's Services and Industries (ASI). This new building doubled our student enrollment and improved the quality of life for both students and staff.

For many years, Executive Director Blondel Senior and his wife Gloria were unable to live on campus, simply because there was no accommodation for them.  Three supporters provided funds, and others offered construction services at no cost.  As a result, the Seniors have moved onto campus.
These are a few of many benevolent people who were impressed to support the ministry of Advent Home Learning Center to at-risk youth.  Their generosity over the years has been a great blessing in taking our program forward step by step.

You might be wondering how you can help.  With the help of Maranatha Volunteers International, we have almost completed constructing two single-family staff homes.  With a little more volunteer help and financial assistance, we could finish the houses soon and provide comfortable homes for two of our staff families.  Your time, service, or monetary gift could be the answer to our prayers.
