| Do You Know Some Boys Like These? |

In Christian homes across America, there are good parents who feel helpless as they struggle to raise their teenage sons.• Shaun, 14, does not have serious behavior problems. Last year he stopped studying, became depressed and withdrew. His grades dropped significantly. • When Peter was 3, his parents divorced, and he stayed with his mother and younger brother. By age 15, he was in the 9th grade at public school but overnight, he changed. He told his mother he was going to find his father and live with him. He did and it became a very disruptive experience for his family. • Tim, 16, was a pretty good boy until he met 18 year-old Tina. She was streetwise and experienced beyond her years. Tina came from a broken home where she was seldom supervised, and Tim frequently ran away to be with her. • At 12, Sammy was diagnosed with ADHD and bi-polar disorder. He was not stealing or lying. He just needed to attend a school that could provide the necessary tutoring and counseling. Advent Home is a school for boys with ADHD, behavioral and learning problems. We also accept students who are not performing at grade level and need remedial schooling. The Maturation Therapy® Program provides residential care, counseling, remedial education, parent training and character development. Length-of-stay in the Program varies, with an average time of 18 months. We train our students to make positive changes and prepare them for boarding school. Those who need more remedial help, may continue through grades 11-12. If you know boys like those mentioned above, we would like to help them. | |
