The applicant must be male, ages 12-16, and within grades 6-12. The program takes children with ADHD, learning, attitude and behavior problems.

His mom was 42 when she became pregnant with him. His father told her to get an abortion, but she refused. The fall weather was perfect for Advent Home Learning Center’s Family Forum, September 27-29. About 150 people filled the auditorium to learn the importance of mental wellness. Guest speaker Doug Baker described growing up in a single-parent home as an unwanted child, with low self-esteem and failure in school. Since Advent Home helps teenage boys with ADHD, learning and behavioral problems, he could empathize with them. The only answer, he said, was knowing Jesus Christ.
